What other city in Russia can contain two contrasting cultures seeming to be so opposite to each other but ridiculously interlacing and living peacefully side by side in the Kazan City? Both Russian and Tatar traditions determine the city life here. One of the most ancient places of Russia, Kazan, founded in the 12th century, until now it preserves its expressive antiquity spirit.

Kazan is a living city and, like any human being has his heart, Kazan has its own one too - that's the Kazan Kremlin - the fame and majesty of the city, situated on the hill and giving a magnificent view to the whole panorama of the city. One can easily follow the complete history of Kazan while walking behind its white walls. Like any heart, the Kremlin contains the most valuable and unforgettable impressions of the city and its wonderful buildings from the past ( the Cathedral of Annunciation, the Spasskaya Tower, the Suyumbike Tower) till modern ones ( the State Republic Government Building).

Every sight like a torch form the past, has its own story, sometimes a legend, sometime s a true one and by its very nature appeals to people not to forget, to keep in their hearts its look and light, the light that it has been keeping for us for centuries.. The city also gives you a chance to see its other sights: the Kazan university ( built in Russian classical style, founded in the 19th century), the Old Tatar Settlement ( the 18th century), Bauman Street with its elegant fountains and various boutiques of traditional Tatar attributes, cafes with Tatar national cuisine, such as the most famous "chak-chak" ( nobody was disappointed in!)

Bauman Street is the center of city lovers: they are sitting on the benches near the fountains, trying to catch splashes of water into their hands and laughing, feeding pigeons and admiring the starlit skies at night....looking at them one has a feeling, an increasing desire to have that special person nearby who can make you happy, the happiest in the world and when gazing at her - to realize: "That's the very she, my sweetheart I have been looking for and waiting for for all my life."

Looking into your eyes with its deep and pure heart Kazan is saying: "You are welcome here! "
